In 2024, we introduced an exciting addition to our lineup:
The Timbvati Traverse Virtual Run.
But what exactly is a virtual run, you might ask?
Imagine experiencing the thrill of traversing the Timbavati landscape, regardless of your location in the world. That’s the magic of a virtual run. Unlike traditional races where participants gather in one physical location, a virtual run allows runners to participate from anywhere, at any time, all while still feeling connected to a larger community of fellow adventurers.
Participants can choose their own routes, whether it’s through urban streets, scenic trails, or even on a treadmill at home. It’s an inclusive and flexible way to engage with the Timbavati Traverse experience, catering to runners of all levels and abilities.
So, whether you’re a seasoned marathoner, casual jogger or walker, join us in embracing the spirit of adventure and exploration with the Timbavati Traverse Virtual Move. Get ready to lace up your shoes, go for a walk/run or get on your bike and set your own course, and MOVE for conservation.

Great news! If you did not get an entry for the 2026 Timbavati Traverse or if you could not make it in person, you can participate and contribute to the Timbavati Traverse by taking part in our Virtual Move!
Our objective is to create an inclusive event whereby participants from all over the world have an opportunity to be part of the Timbavati Traverse and supporting its causes.

Timbavati Traverse Virtual Move
You choose your route, whether you are running, walking, cycling, swimming, horse riding or hiking. You decide on the venue on the 08 August 2026 and decide on how many KM’s you are willing to move for conservation.
Move for our causes. Every entry makes the difference in supporting both wildlife and communities.

What does my entry include?
Your little pack entry includes only your entry fee and donation to the Timbavati Traverse.
Your Big 5 Pack entry includes your entry fee, branded running t-shirt, finishers medal and a goodie bag. (Includes Courier Fee)
Am I Liable for courier fee?
Yes, based on your address, your courier fee is included in your entry.
How far do I have to go?
You choose your distance on the 9th of August. How far are you willing to move for conservation?
Can I submit my results?
Yes, there will be a submission form for all virtual runners to submit their finishing times, as well as a Facebook Group to submit photos. All submissions will be considered for spot prizes.
